AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
